About Gulf Cove

Gulf Cove is located on the western bank of the Myakka River, north of state road 776. This is a community with canal and riverfront properties and non-waterfront homes as well. It has a private park and ramp area which is the privilege of community members only. Many of the riverfront homes enjoy a wide open river view that is simply gorgeous. The majority of the waterfront homes are located on wide canals. The canals in this area are short with nearly immediate access to the river. You can find waterfront homes ranging in price from the low $200K mark to over $1 million.

Gulf Cove is conveniently located about mid-way between Englewood and Port Charlotte and is less than a 20 minute drive to the beautiful gulf beaches. Shopping is just minutes away on SR776. For the golfer, there are many choices within a short drive.

Charlotte Harbor is just a short boat ride to the south with passage under the El Jobean Bridge with an approximate 26 foot clearance. Incredible fishing is found on the Myakka River and around the bridge itself. Many popular near by water destinations include Boca Grande Pass and the Gulf, Cayo Costa, Punta Gorda's Fisherman's village, the Intracoastal Waterway, Captiva, Sanibel Island, Englewood Beach, Venice Beach and Cabbage Key.
